What excites you the most about living in New York City and how do you see it enhancing your learning experience? Having been born and raised in New York City, this place is more than just home—it’s part of who I am. Being able to pursue my MBA here means I get to tap into the city’s incredible energy and diversity every day. The chance to connect with top companies and professionals through recruiting and networking is a huge plus, and I’m excited to leverage those opportunities to grow both personally and professionally. For me, NYC isn’t just a backdrop—it’s an active part of my learning journey and everyday activity.

Aside from your classmates, what was the key part of NYU Stern’s MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? Aside from the community, a key part of Stern’s programming that drew me in was the emphasis on experiential learning through Stern Solutions. I was excited by the opportunity to tackle real-world business challenges alongside industry partners, allowing me to apply what I learn in the classroom in a hands-on, meaningful way. As someone who learns best by doing, this approach aligns perfectly with how I want to grow during my MBA. It was important to me to choose a program that would challenge me to think critically, work collaboratively, and develop into a well-rounded, impact-driven leader—and Stern stood out in that regard.

What course, club or activity excites you the most at NYU Stern? One activity that I am most excited to partake in are the “Doing Business in…” courses. These courses will allow me to take what I have learned in the classroom and apply it to real world applications while learning in another country. I’ll also further develop practical insights into global markets, regulatory environments, and industry-specific challenges.

What does EQ (Emotional Intelligence) mean to you and when have you seen its value in your career? To me, emotional intelligence means being self-aware, empathetic, and able to navigate interpersonal dynamics thoughtfully. It’s about recognizing how your emotions—and those of others—impact communication, decision-making, and collaboration.

One moment that stands out was during a high-stakes project at Goldman, where I led a new stress loss framework within the Sales and Trading division. The timeline was tight, and tensions were high across teams. Instead of just focusing on execution, I made a conscious effort to listen to concerns from my seniors, adapt my communication style, and create space for others’ input. That helped build trust, kept the project moving smoothly, and ultimately made our rollout more effective across the firm. It reminded me that even in technical work, success often hinges on emotional awareness and how you lead with it.

Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: At Goldman Sachs, I played a key role in developing, testing, and rolling out a new stress loss framework. This model provided internal stakeholders with timely, accurate estimates of potential losses on specific trades—an especially critical capability given the fast-paced implementation timeline. As the lead analyst on the initiative, I became the team’s subject-matter expert, creating a detailed step-by-step guide and delivering teach-in sessions to both my immediate team and broader internal stakeholders. Despite being new to the role, I was entrusted with significant responsibility and empowered to take ownership of the project from start-to- finish. Presenting the final product to leadership allowed me to make a strong early impression and demonstrated my ability to lead with initiative and clarity.

What is your unique quality that will enable you to make a big contribution to the Class of 2027? One quality that sets me apart is my ability to bring people together through empathy, curiosity, and a strong commitment to mentorship. Whether in the workplace, the gym, or my community, I naturally seek to understand others’ perspectives and create spaces where people feel heard and supported. As someone born and raised in New York City, I’ve developed the ability to connect with individuals from all backgrounds—and I’ve found real purpose in mentoring peers and younger professionals navigating their own paths. At Stern, I’m excited to contribute not just in the classroom, but also by being a resource, sounding board, and connector for my classmates.

What advice would you give to help potential applicants gain admission into NYU Stern’s MBA program? My advice is to start by understanding your “why”—the reason you’re pursuing an MBA and what you hope to achieve afterward. During the admissions process, I found it incredibly helpful to attend both virtual and in-person information sessions. These experiences not only gave me deeper insight into the MBA program, but also helped me evaluate whether the school was the right fit for me and aligned with my long-term goals. Self-reflection is key—once you’ve clarified your motivations, engaging with the school becomes a powerful way to see if NYU Stern truly aligns with your personal mission.
