IF you thought it was cold last night, you’re going to want to get some extra blankets on the bed again for tonight. It’s going to get pretty cold in Western New York.

The National Weather Service is forecasing some frost for most of Western New York tonight as some areas we will see temperatures dip into the upper 20’s overnight.

The clear skies are a big reason for the chillier temperatures

There is a Frost Advisory in Effect

The National Weather Forecast has issued a FROST ADVISORY for
Erie, Niagara, Orleans, Monroe, Wayne, Northern Cayuga,
Oswego, Genesee, Livingston, Ontario, and Chautauqua Counties starting at 2 am and going through 9 am on Friday morning.

Have you taken your plants in yet?

There are a lot of things to do to get ready for winter in Western New York. Aside from putting the patio furniture away and making sure that your gutters are cleared of leaves before the snow falls, you might want to bring in your plants. They call them “tender vegetation,” and they could be killed by the cold temperatures brought on by a frost.

The weekend isn’t necessarily going to be a washout

While there’s rain in the forecast, some meteorologists are saying not to cancel your outdoor plans just yet. Saturday is looking to be dry for a period of time and the temperatures are looking warmer. We could see highs around 70 on Saturday and around 72 on Sunday. Although Sunday will probably see more precipitation.
