Eugene Sikorski, 82, passed away on Nov. 22 on Staten Island. He died peacefully at home, surrounded by his family. Born on Feb. 6, 1943, in Sobolewo, Poland, he graduated from Warsaw Polytechnic in 1966 with a degree in mechanical engineering. He married Mieczysawa (Michelle) Sieko on Nov. 18, 1978, in Warsaw, Poland, and they had four daughters. He immigrated to the United States with his family in 1981. Janina Zysk, 99, of New Brighton, passed away peacefully at home on Nov. 20. Born on June 26, 1926, in Poland, she endured the hardships of World War II before marrying Eugeniusz “Eugene” Zysk in 1951. The couple immigrated to the United States, making their home in New Brighton. She worked as a seamstress and later as a housekeeping aide at Staten Island University Hospital, retiring in 1988. Libera (Lee) Rampulla, 96, of Todt Hill, an accomplished artist and licensed art therapist, died Tuesday, Nov. 25, at the Addeo House in Egbertville after a long illness. Born in New Brighton and raised in Stapleton, she earned degrees from the College of Staten Island and New York University. She worked as an art therapist at various institutions and taught at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and NYU. Geraldine (Gerry) Kopacz, 78, a lifelong Staten Island resident, passed away on Nov. 23. Born on July 30, 1947, she attended Sacred Heart School in West Brighton and graduated from Port Richmond High School. She worked at Aetna Insurance Company and later as a cashier at Acme and Dan’s Key Food. She enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and Wind Creek Casino in her leisure time.
