NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) — Headed home after the holiday? The weather in New York City may not be kind on your journey back.
Sunday in Southern New York is shaping up to be a wet one.
Showers are expected to develop Sunday morning and continue through the late afternoon. According to the National Weather Service, the rain should start after 10 a.m. and end before 7 p.m.
The predicted amount of rain is between a tenth and a quarter of an inch near Central Park.
If you want to stay ahead of both traffic and weather misfortune, AAA released its suggested best and worst times to travel throughout the holiday weekend.
The best time to drive on Sunday, according to AAA, is anytime before 11 a.m. Between then and 8 p.m. is suggested as the worst time to travel on Sunday.
