NEW YORK (PIX11) – Three to five inches of snow are possible in parts of New York and New Jersey this week, according to the National Weather Service.
The snowfall will be heaviest in Orange, Putnam and Passaic Counties. Up to two inches of snow is possible in the rest of New Jersey and the Lower Hudson Valley, according to the National Weather Service.

A coastal low will pass the area on Tuesday, bringing with it the first accumulating snow of the season, according to NWS. The forecast is still uncertain, according to NWS.
