NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) – It’s the last week to apply to New York City high schools for the 2026-2027 school year.
Wednesday is the last day for students to apply for the city’s 400 public schools and LaGuardia High School. Applications are available online in multiple languages. For more information, click here.
Students will receive offers from high schools starting on March 5, 2026, according to New York City Public Schools. Admissions is based on seat availability, student preference, priority based on residence, and other factors for specific programs.
Any New York City resident in eighth or ninth grade can apply. Registration for the Specialized High Schools Admissions Test is already closed.
Applications for middle school students will remain open through Dec. 12.
