THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) — Police are searching for a vehicle after a man was struck and killed in a hit-and-run in the Bronx on Sunday night, according to officials.
Police received a report of a person struck near the Cross Bronx Expressway Service Road and Ellis Avenue at around 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Responding officers said a man was found unconscious and unresponsive with trauma throughout his whole body. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, according to police.
Video on Citizen showed responders providing medical attention to someone in the middle of the road.
The vehicle involved did not remain on the scene and could not be identified at the time of the incident.
The Criminal Intelligence officers are investigating the incident.
