A homeless man somehow caught on fire while sleeping on a subway train moving though Midtown Manhattan early Monday, leaving him hospitalized, police said.
The 55-year-old victim was dozong an uptown No. 3 train approaching the Times Square stop when the fire started about 3:10 a.m., cops said.
The victim got off the train in Times Square, at which point a transit worker saw him and flagged down police officers posted in the station.

He was conscious and alert as medics rushed him to New York-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell in stable condition with severe burns to his legs, officials said.
Cops initially thought he was set on fire by somebody else but are now saying the blaze is believed not to be suspicious, meaning the victim may have accidentally set himself on fire somehow.
