Ahead of Giving Tuesday, a holiday tradition returned to New York City that makes donating to a charity during the holiday season fast and simple.

Giving Machines were unveiled in Times Square Tuesday morning. The vending machines allow people to donate to charities like The American Red Cross or UNICEF, as well as local charities such as Make the Road New York, Greenfaith and Catholic Charities of New York.

Those interested can go to the charitable vending machines and pick specific items ranging from $7 to $300.

“They’re going to try to get things that people need most in New York: diapers, formula, backpacks, food for the homeless people. Things people actually need, especially this holiday season,” said Antonio Fernandez, the CEO of Catholic Charities of New York.

While the Times Square machine opened Monday, there will be more locations across the city opening Tuesday through the end of the month. The other charity vending machines will be found at different churches throughout Manhattan: The Riverside Church, St. Peter’s Church, The West End Church, and the Church of Our Saviour.
