FOXBOROUGH — One year after the Giants poached another team’s No. 2 cornerback to be their No. 1 option, the shoe could be on the other foot when Cor’Dale Flott becomes a free agent in March.

Flott quietly is having a breakout season that reached its high point last week when he held the Lions’ Jameson Williams — one of the NFL’s fastest players — without a catch on three targets in their one-on-one matchup.

“That’s who I am. That’s who I’ve always been,” Flott said. “People just now riding the high horse. I’m showing everybody and putting on notice right now. That’s who I’m going to continue to be.”

Paulson Adebo, who the Giants signed away from the Saints with a three-year, $54 million contract, returned to the lineup Monday against the Patriots after missing five games with a knee injury.
