So we are staring down our first significant snowstorm for the season, and I have picked this time to tell you about summer job opportunities. You may be thinking that this is not the time, but truth be told, it is the perfect time.

At some point this winter, you are going to want to start thinking about warmer weather, no matter how much you love the snow. If you wait too long to plan, you could miss a really fun and rewarding summer job opportunity. What I mean to say is the application period for some summer jobs is now.

New York State Accepting Applications For Park Jobs

Recently, the Lake Taghkanic State Park shared through social media that their application period to be a summer lifeguard is underway. They are actively recruiting lifeguards and park rangers. New York State is also looking, and the deadline to apply is December 31, 2025.

If you have ever wanted to work at a New York State Park, this is the time to log on for information and to fill out an application.
