NEW YORK (PIX11) — There’s a new NYC Housing Connect affordable housing lottery in the Bronx that offers $0 rent for qualified New Yorkers.

The new Bronx affordable housing lottery at Crotona Belmont Senior Housing offers “comfort, stability, and long-term rental assistance,” the listing says.

There are over 90 studio and one-bedroom apartments available for rent. Amenities include a gym, community space, outdoor areas, patios, balconies and more. It’s located near schools, parks and public transit via the 2, 5, B and D lines.

The eligibility requirements for residents to get free rent include:

At least one person in the household is age 62 or older

They have a household of one to two people

They must be making no income

They qualify for Section 8 housing

Those who do make an income can still apply, but will not qualify for free rent. Household maximum income is up to $87,480.
