A man was killed trying to cross a Bronx street by a hit-and-run SUV driver, cops said Tuesday.
The victim was crossing the Cross Bronx Expressway Service Road when the westbound SUV driver slammed into him near Ellis Ave. in Parkchester about 6 p.m. Sunday, police said.
The driver fled the scene, never stopping to check on the injured pedestrian, and has not been caught.
Medics rushed the victim to Jacobi Medical Center, where he died. Cops are still trying to determine his identity.
