The “Stranger Things” finale will screen at more than 500 movie theaters across the U.S. and Canada, including some of New York’s most treasured cinemas.
The end of the Netflix sensation’s fifth and final season will show across the five boroughs at favorites like the Paris Theatre, the Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn locations of the Alamo Drafthouse, the Regal Essex Crossing on Delancey Street, the Regal UA Sheepshead Bay, and the Midtown AMCs on W. 42nd and W. 34th streets as well as the AMC Kips Bay 15.
Netflix on Tuesday announced the full list of participating movie theaters that will show the finale — spanning 2 hours and 5 minutes — beginning Dec. 31 at 8 p.m. ET and running through New Year’s Day.

Series creators Matt and Ross Duffer told Variety in October that they’d hoped to show the finale on the big screen, with Netflix only jumping on board in response to fans’ rallying cries for such a celebration.
The 1980s-set series, which has had multiple hiatuses since its 2016 premiere, returned just ahead of Thanksgiving weekend — with a record-breaking 59.6 million views by Tuesday, Variety reports.
Another batch of episodes will drop on Christmas.
Prior to last week, the sci-fi hit last churned out new episodes in 2022, though “Stranger Things” also hit Broadway earlier this year.
The final chapter of the small-screen saga has not been without its drama both onscreen and off, amid last month’s reports that Millie Bobby Brown had filed a harassment and bullying claim against co-star David Harbour.
Brown seemingly denied those claims last week, saying she and Harbour — whose respective characters Eleven and Jim Hopper share a father-daughter bond — “have a great relationship” and that she’s always “felt safe” on-set.
“We’ve worked together for 10 years. I feel safe with everyone on that set. Naturally [we]’ve been doing it for so long,” Brown, 21, told Deadline. “We also play father and daughter, so naturally you have a closer bond than the rest because we have had some really intense scenes together, especially in Season 2.”
