On Election Day this past November, races for Jersey City’s Mayor, Council at Large, and Ward City Council seats were inconclusive. This is because none of the candidates for those elections were able to capture the majority needed to win . Consequently, a runoff election was held on Tuesday, December 2nd to determine clear winners from each race. Read on for the results determining the winners of Jersey City’s 2025 Municipal Elections.
Jersey City Mayoral Runoff Election Results
On November 4th, Jim McGreevey and James Solomon were the top two vote getters out of the seven candidates on the ballot. The two finished Election night with less than a 2,500 difference between them. Results of December 2nd’s rematch as of 9PM election night with 2.11% districts reporting:

Jersey City Council at Large Runoff Election Results
Out of the 15-candidate field, six advanced to runoff elections to declare three winners of Council at Large seats. Results of Tuesday’s runoffs of 9PM election night with 2.11% districts reporting:

Jersey City Ward Council Runoff Election Results
Jersey City’s Municipal Elections included Ward Council races for Wards A-F. Wards E and F were the only two Ward races that reached conclusive results in the initial election.
