A brand new RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars spin-off series exclusively featuring Latina queens has been announced.

World of Wonder (WOW), the production company behind Drag Race, announced on 16 October that new franchise Drag Race Mexico: Latina Royale would spotlight “Latin Queens from different shows across the global Drag Race franchise”.

“World of Wonder is proud to continue spotlighting the many cultures which shape global drag, and celebrate Latin artistry with Drag Race Mexico: Latina Royale,” WOW co-founders Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato told The Hollywood Reporter in a statement.

The news comes one day after the finale of the first season of Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale, which was the first season to feature an all star cast of queens exclusively of Asian heritage from across different Drag Race franchises.

Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale proved to be a big hit for WOW, with the first episode becoming the most-watched premiere episode from across all Drag Race franchises on the WOW streaming app, WOW Presents Plus.

The host and cast of the first season of Drag Race Mexico: Latina Royale is yet to be announced, though Drag Race France star Lolita Banana and Queen of the Universe winner Taiga Brava are the current Drag Race Mexico co-hosts.

In the 16 years since Drag Race began back in 2009, dozens of queens of Latin heritage have become huge fan favourites, including season nine’s ‘Miss Congeniality’ winner and former Drag Race Mexico co-host, Valentina.

Nina Flowers, Yara Sofia, Alexis Mateo, Jessica Wild, Bianca Del Rio, Cynthia Lee Fontaine and recent All Stars 10 winner Ginger Minj are all from a Latin background.

Drag Race Mexico has also featured a total of 24 queens across two seasons, including winners Cristian Peralta and Leexa Fox, and Global All Stars favourite, Gala Varo.

Drag Race Mexico: Latina Royale is set to debut on WOW Presents Plus in 2026. WOW will release a series entitled Drag Race Mexico Rewind in December this year, featuring highlights of the first two seasons of the Mexican spin-off show.

In addition to the new all-Latina series, WOW has recently announced the latest in its vs. The World All Stars franchise, with Drag Race Down Under vs The World set to air in 2026. It follows on from Drag Race UK vs The World and Canada’s Drag Race vs The World, both of which have had two seasons so far.
