Is New York Lacking in the Holiday Spirit?
One would think New York would be the jolliest state in the United States during the holiday season.
Afterall, NY is home to the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree and is usually the location for every cheesy Christmas movie. I digress.
A website called Innerbody did a little bit of research and analyzed “search trends to determine which U.S. states are feeling the most holiday spirit and which are the Grinchiest.”
To determine which states had the most holiday spirit they “investigated how the popularity of various holiday trends and activities nationwide has fluctuated over the past year.”
Unfortunately, their research showed that New York is the 2nd most Grinchiest state!
Bah humbug!
West Virginia has been named the Most Festive state for 2025. Innerbody Research explains :
This state was also the only one to show a high amount of interest in building a “Christmas Snowman,” a festive tradition that otherwise ended up on our least popular list.
Can New York fight back to get on the festive list?
