STATEN ISLAND, NY — The Staten Island Museum will present “Here You Are: Staten Island Triennial,” featuring new work from seven local artists exploring themes of identity, heritage and home.
The exhibition will showcase pieces in fiber, painting, film, photography and graphic design. According to the museum, the featured artwork navigates questions and anxieties around identity while exploring spaces that feel familiar, haunting, lonely, and powerful.
The triennial will feature work by Roemello Agjmurati, Gabri Christa, Olga Ginzburg, Siobhan McBride, Arjuna Routte-Prieur, Lynore Routte, and Lea Simoniello. Rylee Eterginoso curated the exhibition.
Among the pieces on display will be “Canopy” by Siobhan McBride, born in 1980 in Seoul, South Korea. The 2021 work features acrylic gouache on paper on panel and is on loan from Jessica Levy. Also featured will be “Staten Island Pier,” a 2024 photograph by Olga Ginzburg, who was born in 1987 in Belarus.
A members reception will take place Thursday, Jan. 22, 2026, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The public reception is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
