NEW YORK CITY — Police are searching for six suspects after they allegedly firebombed a West Village store early Wednesday morning.
The incident happened outside a smoke shop located at 131 Christopher St. around 3:10 a.m., police said.
Six men were spotted outside the store and tossed an unknown object after breaking a window. A small blaze then broke out inside the building,
Police and FDNY responded to the scene. Firefighters quickly put out the fire and no injuries were reported from the incident.
Fire marshals are trying to determine the object used in the incident and the cause of the fire.
The suspects fled the scene on foot. No arrests have been made.
An investigation remains ongoing.
