THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) — A 63-year-old resident was zip-tied and beaten with a gun during a violent armed robbery at a Bronx NYCHA building last month, police said Tuesday.
Three armed men allegedly approached the man from behind before pushing him into his apartment near East 143rd Street and Third Avenue at 6:05 a.m. on Nov. 17, according to the NYPD.
The suspects then allegedly zip-tied the victim’s hands and feet and repeatedly hit him on the head with a gun, authorities said. The man was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The trio grabbed jewelry, a cellphone, credit cards, and an unknown amount of money before fleeing the scene, cops said. The victim’s credit cards were later used to make purchases.

Police released surveillance video showing two men in black face masks holding large white shopping bags entering the building.
The three suspects are believed to be between 25 and 40 years old. One of the men was last seen wearing an off-white sweatsuit with the word “Essentials” on it, white sneakers, a multicolored hat, and a black face mask.
The second suspect was last seen wearing a gray sweatsuit, a white t-shirt, white sneakers, and a black face mask. The third man was dressed in all black clothing, a black face mask, and glasses.
There have been no arrests.
