ROCHESTER, N.Y. — More than 1.5 million bags of shredded cheese sold at major retailers across the U.S., including New York State, have been recalled over concerns about possible metal fragments.

The bags of shredded cheese were sold as store-owned brands from Target, Aldi, Walmart, and other stores. The Great Lakes Cheese Co. issued the voluntary recall to retailers, impacting over 30 states and Puerto Rico.

You can see if a product you bought is impacted with this list on the Food and Drug Administration’s website. Anyone with the recalled products should toss them or return them for a refund.
