EAST FISHKILL – A 52-year-old Brooklyn man has been arrested by the state police after more than 100 grams of cocaine were found in a secret compartment in his vehicle on the Taconic State Parkway in East Fishkill on Monday.  Kasein Deleston was stopped by members of the New York State Police Troop K Community Stabilization Unit for multiple violations, according to police.

State Trooper Reiser and K-9 Vinn conducted an exterior search of the vehicle, and K-9 Vinn alerted to the presence of narcotics, prompting a search of the interior, where police located 162 grams of cocaine in a hidden compartment within the vehicle.

Following the discovery, Deleston was arrested on felony criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.

Deleston was arraigned in the East Fishkill Town Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail.  He is due back in court on Friday, December 5, at 2 p.m.
