SHERBURNE, N.Y. — A tractor trailer and a sedan collided head-on during a snow squall on St. Rt. 12B in Sherburne.
On Dec. 4, New York State Police responded to the crash at approximately 1:43 p.m.
Jacob F. Relyea, 57, from Bridgeport, was driving a tractor trailer north when he lost control and crossed into the southbound lane, hitting a sedan driven by Danica R. Jones, 32, from Earlville, according to the NYSP report.Â
Jones died at the scene.
Troopers conducted a field sobriety test on Relyea, which showed no signs of impairment.
He received tickets for vehicle and traffic law violations.
The investigation is ongoing.
