D’Angelo, trailblazing soul and R&B artist, dies aged 51

D’Angelo, the legendary soul and R&B artist who cofounded the influential Black music collective The Soulquarians, has died at the age of 51. The artist’s family confirmed on October 14th that he died following “a prolonged and courageous battle with cancer.”

Matt Tolfrey, influential artist and Leftroom founder, dies aged 44

Matt Tolfrey, influential British artist and label owner, has died aged 44. Tolfrey had a long, impactful career in the minimal house and techno space, first as a globetrotting DJ, then as a producer for labels like Crosstown Rebels, REKIDS and Phonica, and finally as owner of Leftroom and its various sub-labels, including Left’d and Leftout.

Seth Troxler’s record collection ‘nearly destroyed’ in Ibiza flood
