Bright Eyes will celebrate 21 years of the albums they released on the same day in 2005, I’m Wide Awake, It’s Morning and Digital Ash in a Digital Urn, with three special shows in 2026. They’ll play each album in full in three cities, with a set from longtime friends from the era in between: Tilly and the Wall at Morrison, CO’s Red Rocks on May 6; The Moldy Peaches at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl on May 23;, and Built to Spill at NYC’s Forest Hills Stadium on June 6.

“I have always hated my birthdays but I love parties,” Conor Oberst says. “And I remember being really excited when I turned 21 for obvious reasons. So when the idea came up to celebrate the 21st anniversary of these two records who were born on the same day, Nate, Mike and I took a long look in our full-length mirror and finally said ‘Fuck it, why not?’ So we hope you can join us at one of these shows. It will be the 3 of us and many old friends coming together to make what will hopefully be, this magical thing happen. Hope to see you there. We are really excited. Love and light.”

You can get tickets for the NYC show early on BrooklynVegan Presale starting Thursday, December 11 at 10 AM ET. Use the presale password WIDEAWAKEITSVEGAN. Our presale runs until 10 PM ET, and any remaining tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, December 12 at 10 AM.

This is the first show Tilly and the Wall have announced in over 10 years, since 2013, and for The Moldy Peaches, this happens ahead of their Carnegie Hall show, the first show they’d announced in three years.

Bright Eyes released a new EP, Kids Table, this year.
