TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – Riley County police are seeking a person in connection with a weekend homicide.
An attempt-to-locate has been issued for Erick Sanchez-Chavez, 29, of Manhattan.
Riley County police officials said late Monday morning that they wanted to speak with Sanchez-Chavez regarding the death of Mark Rickenbaker, who was injured in an altercation early Saturday in the 800 block of Colorado Street in Manhattan.
Responding officers found Rickenbaker suffering from serious injuries at that location, officials said.
Rickenbaker was taken to Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan, where officials said he died.

Late Monday mornng, Riley County police said they were attempting to locate Sanchez-Chavez in connection with the case.
Sanchez-Chavez is described as standing 5-feet-8 and weighing 180 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.
Riley County police cautioned individuals not to approach or attempt to apprehend Sanchez-Chavez.
