NEW YORK (PIX11) – Commuters are also finding new routes and schedules on NYC Ferry after the F and M subway train lines swapped routes on Monday.
NYC Ferry will begin operating new route patterns redesigned as part of the Ferry Optimization Plan.

The East River route will operate as two routes on weekdays during the morning and evening rush hours to provide more service. The Soundview and Rockaway routes are also being combined, so that riders wouldn’t have to transfer to get to Midtown and East 90th Street.
The shuttle bus serving the Rockaway-Soundview Ferry at the Rockaways stop will operate only during morning and evening peak times on weekdays this winter.
The St. George route will extend east and connect to Bay Ridge, Atlantic Avenue/Brooklyn Bridge Park-Pier 6, and Wall Street/Pier 11 and Manhattan’s West Side.
There is also now all-day, 25-minute express service from the 69th Street Pier to Wall Street, with a stop at Atlantic Avenue. In addition, there is a completely new option from Bay Ridge to the west side of Manhattan and St. George/Staten Island.

There are also preserved stops along the South Brooklyn line during summer weekends. The route may require a transfer at Wall Street/Pier 11.
