Bold Gold Media has expanded its audio footprint in New York’s Catskills as it relaunches WDLA-AM (1270) and FM (92.1) Walton, NY in Delaware County, both of which had gone dark earlier this year under former owner Townsquare Media. The company purchased both stations from Townsquare for $50,000 in September.

“The stations are back on the air with Bold Gold Media’s signature mix of local news, programming, community involvement, emergency information and engaging content,” the company’s news release says.

WDLA-AM becomes the fourth signal to carry Bold Gold’s “Catskills News Talk” format, also heard on Sullivan County’s WVOS-AM Liberty (1240) and FM translators 92.5 W223DB Liberty and 94.9 W235AW Monticello. The stations feature longtime local morning host Paul Ciliberto’s “Ciliberto and Friends.”

WDLA-FM adopts Bold Gold’s “Thunder” country format, also on WDNB Jeffersonville (102.1), WHNB Hancock (104.5), and WBMG (102.9) Narrowsburg, the latter added in June 2025. Therese Quinn’s “The Morning Rumble” airs on all four frequencies.

Both WDLA-AM and FM will feature Bold Gold’s Catskills News, community updates through RadioBOLD Info Central, and event coverage with “What’s Happening.”

“There is something truly special about turning the lights back on for a local radio station,” Bold Gold Media New York Region General Manager Dawn Ciorciari says. “We are beyond excited to bring local radio back to life for the people of Walton and Delaware County, to once again give this community a local voice, a source of connection, and radio stations they can call their own.”

Bold Gold Media was founded in 2005, with stations serving the Catskills and Northern Poconos Mountains regions, and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, PA.
