Three men in their 20s were killed Sunday morning after crashing on the Staten Island Expressway, fire and police officials confirmed.

The men, not yet identified by authorities, were traveling westbound on the expressway around 1 a.m. when authorities said the driver lost control of the car.

The Chevy Cruise left the roadway and overturned near Exit 8.

All three men, ages 25, 26, and 27, were declared dead. Additional information about the crash investigation were not immediately known.

No other cars appeared to be involved in the crash.
