STAMFORD — A shooting victim was dropped off at Stamford Hospital Monday afternoon, according to police.

Officers responded to Stamford Hospital at 3:27 p.m. Monday for a report of a man dropped off with a gunshot wound to the buttocks, Stamford Assistant Police Chief Richard Conklin said.

Conklin said officers determined that the shooting had taken place in New York City in a neighborhood in the North Bronx. He said the incident happened in the 47th precinct and that police there were investigating it.

An NYPD spokesperson said they had no record of a shooting taking place there on Monday.
