Jessica Taylor might be Owning Manhattan‘s token Brit, but that doesn’t mean she’s worked with any royals … yet.
In the show’s debut season—which dropped on Netflix in August 2024—Taylor was paired up with a top-secret buyer. All she knew was they were a married couple with two children who lived in California, and that they were looking to spend anywhere between $5 million and $10 million on a luxurious New York City abode.
When Taylor, using her sharp real estate prowess, was somehow able to up their budget to a whopping $21.7 million sight unseen, many viewers wondered who these wealthy buyers could’ve been.
Some threw out names like Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. After all, wouldn’t it make the most sense for Ryan Serhant to pair Taylor—the show’s only British cast member—up with British royalty?! One would think so! But Serhant remained tight-lipped on the subject when DECIDER grilled him about it last year, only claiming the theories of Prince Harry and Markle were “incorrect.”
When Taylor stopped by DECIDER’s studio ahead of Owning Manhattan’s Season 2 release, she shared that she did eventually find out the buyers’ true identity.
“We work with a lot of celebrities, and the reason they like working with us is that we don’t tell people,” Taylor said. “So, if I told you, I’d have to kill you, and that would be messy for everyone. But yeah, we want the celebrities to keep coming back to us. I’m sorry, I can’t tell you.”
While Taylor couldn’t say who her mystery buyers were, she did reveal that she hadn’t seen any online theories that were correct, meaning they weren’t Rihanna and A$AP Rocky, they weren’t Kylie Jenner and Timothee Chalamet, and they weren’t Prince Harry and Markle. Taylor also confirmed that she has never worked with a royal, telling us, “As far as I’m aware, I don’t think they own property in New York City, but I’m sure I’ll be their first call if they do.”

Luckily, when the royals inevitably come calling, Taylor already has a good conversation starter.
“I went to the same school as Princess Kate [Middleton],” she revealed, referring to Prince William’s wife. “She left as I arrived but her sister was there at the same time.”
Taylor added, “Pippa [Middleton], I think, was four years older than me, and Kate had left already at that point.”
Owning Manhattan Season 2 is currently streaming on Netflix.
