MANHATTAN (KSNT) – Police accuse three suspects of trying to hit officers with a truck during a traffic stop in Manhattan.
The Riley County Police Department said that at around 2:54 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 10 in the 1600 block of Fair Lane, officers filed a report listing two 41-year-old men and a 42-year-old woman as suspects who fled from the scene of a traffic stop. According to police, the suspects allegedly tried to strike two officers with a 2014 Chevy Silverado, then reversed into an occupied patrol unit.
The RCPD said the suspects committed multiple offenses including:
Fleeing or attempting to elude.
Aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer.
Interference with a law enforcement officer.
Aggravated battery of a law enforcement officer.
Reckless driving, criminal damage to property.
Possession of methamphetamine.
Possession with intent to distribute.
Possession of paraphernalia.
The RCPD listed three individuals and a local business as victims. The RCPD reported that no officers were injured and no arrests have been made.
