Santa Claus came to town last week to make spirits bright at tree lightings in Mid Queens.
At top right, the St. Stan’s Performing Arts Players were among those who raised their voices to spread cheer at the Maspeth Chamber of Commerce’s annual event Dec. 5. Above left, guests could greet Saint Nick himself in Maspeth Memorial Square.
At top center, City Councilman Bob Holden posed for a photo with Girl Scouts from local troops, who helped provide festive music at Middle Village’s event Dec. 5, sponsored by the Middle Village Chamber of Commerce, Queens Chamber of Commerce and Middle Village Residents Association. Santa was available for photo ops.
At right and far right, the Kiwanis Club of Glendale’s event was Dec. 7. Kids sang carols, sipped hot cocoa, received gifts and, of course, met Santa.
“This community makes the season special,” Holden said on Facebook.
