Meet Lara — a 2-year-old, just-under-10-pound scruffy terrier mix with a heart full of love and the softest, sweetest soul. Lara is truly an angel. She’s quiet, gentle, and happiest when she’s curled up next to her person. A total snuggle bug, she LOVES cuddling, belly rubs, and giving sweet little kisses. If you’re home often and want a constant companion by your side (or on your lap), Lara is your girl. She gets along beautifully with adults, and she coexists peacefully with other dogs. While she doesn’t play with her foster’s resident pup just yet, she’s perfectly content sharing space. Lara is mostly a lazy, couch-potato type, though she enjoys a playful moment here and there with treat puzzles, snuffle mats, and activities that let her sniff and explore. She walks pretty well on a leash, sheds just a little, and doesn’t bark — a true gem for apartment living. She’s doing great with her house training (she even pawed at her foster to go out!) and is learning to feel safe in a crate. She does fine in the crate if her person is in the room with her, but she gets anxious when left alone. Lara really wants to be near her human and thrives with someone who can offer closeness and reassurance. She knows a couple commands like sit and come, travels fine in the car (though she’s not a fan of being zipped inside a carrier), and isn’t a resource guarder at all. Lara spends most of her day quietly napping near her foster while they work — easy, calm, cuddly, and incredibly loving. If you’re looking for a small, soft-hearted companion to keep you company, snuggle you endlessly, and adore you with all she has, Lara is the perfect match. Lara is truly an angel. She’s quiet, gentle, and happiest when she’s curled up next to her person. A total snuggle bug, she LOVES cuddling, belly rubs, and giving sweet little kisses. If you’re home often and want a constant companion by your side (or on your lap), Lara is your girl.

She gets along beautifully with adults, and she coexists peacefully with other dogs. While she doesn’t play with her foster’s resident pup just yet, she’s perfectly content sharing space.

Lara is mostly a lazy, couch-potato type, though she enjoys a playful moment here and there with treat puzzles, snuffle mats, and activities that let her sniff and explore. She walks pretty well on a leash, sheds just a little, and doesn’t bark — a true gem for apartment living.

She’s doing great with her house training (she even pawed at her foster to go out!) and is learning to feel safe in a crate. She does fine in the crate if her person is in the room with her, but she gets anxious when left alone. Lara really wants to be near her human and thrives with someone who can offer closeness and reassurance.

She knows a couple commands like sit and come, travels fine in the car (though she’s not a fan of being zipped inside a carrier), and isn’t a resource guarder at all.

This little man is the perfect blend of shy and sweet! It takes him a little time to warm up, but he’s definitely worth it. Milk & Cookies has been the perfect house guest; he’s quiet and mostly keeps to himself. When you’re busy, he will find a quiet corner and curl up or watch you from a distance. He’s never underfoot! When you’re relaxing, he will sit on the couch and receive pets. He’s not a huge snuggler right now, but given time and patience he may continue to come out of his shell and be a true little love! Since arriving at his foster home, he has not had one potty accident and will use pee pads in the home if need be. He has quickly folded into the pack in his foster home - making friends with the other dogs in the home quite quickly! If you’re looking for a small and quiet companion, come meet the Milkman today!
