A person was reported dead following an early-morning crash Sunday on the Southern State Parkway.
According to state police, the collision occurred around 4:01 a.m. near Exit 13 in the North Valley Stream area, close to Elmont. Additional details about the victim and the cause of the crash have not yet been released.
Traffic along the parkway was moving normally as of 9 a.m.
