STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Police are investigating a report of a burglary early Wednesday morning at a home in Westerleigh.

The incident was reported at about 2:33 a.m. at a home in the vicinity of Constant Avenue and Virginia Place, according to a spokesman for the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information.

Authorities are investigating whether the individuals accessed the home through a window, according to a source with knowledge of the investigation.

Two unidentified individuals entered the location and removed property that included house keys, a key fob and a wallet containing various credit cards and identification, the spokesman said.

The individuals fled in an SUV.

No injuries were reported.

No arrests have been made and the investigation continues.

NYPD cars were stationed near the home on Wednesday morning.
