STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Authorities allege that a 34-year-old woman attempted to peddle crack cocaine to an undercover officer in Stapleton.
Ashley Everette of Richmond Terrace in St. George was arrested on Dec. 12 after she allegedly spoke with the undercover officer on Tompkins Avenue, according to the criminal complaint.
“I can get it for you,” she said, according to an account in the criminal complaint. “Give me the money and I’ll be right back.”
The undercover officer handed the defendant cash.
During her arrest, officers allege they confiscated items with cocaine residue, including seven small plastic zipper bags, a glass pipe and a small blue capsule.
The defendant has been charged with attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Everette has multiple drug-related arrests this year. She has pleaded not guilty to all charges and has been released on non-monetary conditions, according to public records. She is due back in Criminal Court in St. George on Dec. 23.
Attorney Michael Vitaliano, who is representing the defendant, declined to comment at this time.
