The first post time is almost six months away, but the Saratoga Race Course has its schedule set for 2026.
The New York Racing Association (NYRA) announced Thursday that the coming year’s schedule will begin Wednesday, June 3, with the final Belmont Stakes Racing Festival held upstate. The Belmont Stakes — the traditional third leg of horse racing’s Triple Crown — will be run Saturday, June 6. It will be the third time the race is held in Saratoga, due to ongoing Belmont Park renovations and construction. Belmont Park is scheduled to reopen in September.
The traditional summer meet will be a 46-day event, starting with the July 4 Racing Festival from July 3-5. For much of July, the course will hold four-day racing weeks before returning to a five-day racing week on Wednesday, July 29.
The final day of the Saratoga season will be Labor Day, which is Monday, Sept. 7.
NYRA pointed out that the 2026 racing calendar is still subject to New York State Gaming Commission approval. Season passes are available at the Saratoga Race Course website.
