Albany-area state Sen. Pat Fahy and several other Democratic legislators joined lawmakers from seven other states in an effort led by the organization State Futures to discuss a multi-state effort to respond to “escalating federal actions that undermine constitutional protections, target immigrant communities, and disregard court orders.”
During the briefing, Fahy shared two bills that she’ll be introducing in the next legislative session which addresses the behavior of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in New York state.
Fahy detailed the meeting and the legislation with Capital Tonight’s Susan Arbetter.Â
