TOWN OF ALEXANDRIA, New York (WWNY) – After years of planning, the town of Alexandria has a new McDonald’s restaurant.
Director of Operations Joe Oliveri says the layout inside is different than other locations.
He says you won’t find a menu on the wall or a cashier behind the counter. Ordering food will be done at a kiosk.
He says it’s a modern take on McDonald’s and is the first in the north country.
“There’s no other store like this here. There’s a new one out in Buffalo up here on this side. This is the first of its kind. It’s an all-electric store. There’s no gas in this store,” said Oliveri.
The eatery on State Route 12 opened last week, and officials say it’s been busy since then.
