STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A large brown Colonial Revival-style home once stood at 533 Clove Rd. in West Brighton. Built in 1910, it was torn down around 2023 after suffering roof damage in a 2017 fire. The house had wooden shingles, giving it a classic, traditional look. It had a symmetrical front, two stories, and a centered front door with decorative details. The building was a multi-family home with about 2,248 square feet of living space, according to Zillow.

Right now, the property is surrounded by a green construction fence with no signs to show what’s planned. We’ll have to wait and see what happens next on this corner, sitting opposite Clove Lakes Park.
