The New York Giants (2-12) play host to the Minnesota Vikings (6-8) at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, this Sunday afternoon.
The game features two of the league’s most disappointing teams this season, as both clubs have long been eliminated from postseason contention. The Vikings are favored by 3 points, and the over/under is currently 43.5 total points.
For fantasy enthusiasts, there’s a lot on the bone to pick from here, but we’ll just give you our three top plays.

The Giants’ defense is dead last in fantasy points scored, averaging a paltry 2.8 points per game. They have allowed 30 or more points in five of their last eight games and allowed 29, 27, and 24 points in the other three. They have just nine takeaways this year, have not scored a defensive or special teams touchdown, or recorded a safety.

This week, they face a Vikings offense that is nearly intact and playing well and has scored over 30 points in each of its last two games, both wins.
Start: Vikings QB J.J. McCarthy
The 2024 first-round pick is coming into his own after missing his entire rookie season with a knee injury. It’s taken some time, but the former Michigan standout is showing signs of breaking out. He’s averaged 22.5 FPS over the past two games. He completed a season-high 69.6% of his passes against Washington two weeks ago and had a season-high 10.4 yards per pass attempt against Dallas on Sunday night.
He now faces a Giants’ defense that has gotten carved up like a holiday ham the past two months. Even though McCarthy is just starting to create synergy with his very talented receiving corps, the Vikings’ offense is still a work in progress. The Giants’ defense will help their cause.
Sit: Giants QB Jaxson Dart
Minnesota’s defense isn’t the greatest, but they have been tough on quarterbacks lately. As per stats guru Warren Sharp, the Vikings have not allowed a “QB1” scoring week since Week 8 and a passing touchdown since Week 10.
Over their past seven games, the Vikings have allowed a 58.2% completion rate (5th), 6.4 Y/A (10th), and a league-low 1.4% touchdown rate, and are now first in the league in pressure rate (44.5%).
In addition, when pressured, Dart has completed 42.7% of his passes (26th) for 5.9 Y/A (21st) and a 23.5% sack rate (23rd).
