December has been an unusually snowy month for our region, especially in the higher elevations, and as such, many parts of Vermont and Northern New York have a nicely established snowpack going into the last week of the month.

Despite record high temperatures and pouring rain on Friday that melted snow cover in the Champlain Valley, a White Christmas is all but guaranteed for most mountain towns.
