STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — After a back-and-forth first half, Staten Island Academy outscored Friends Seminary 25-8 in the third quarter thanks to hot shooting from Margaret Moschella and lockdown defense from Carly Factor to post the ACIS victory on Thursday.

Moschella finished with 18 points, including four treys and added five assists. Valentina Li led SIA, which improved to 6-1 overall and 4-0 in the ACIS, with 22 points.

Rita Moschella continued her excellent two-way play, making her presence known with six offensive rebounds and five steals.

Chloe Factor controlled the boards, pulling down a team-high nine rebounds while contributing six points and two assists.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The Seagulls used a 20-point third quarter to pull away from the Dragons and improve to 7-0 in the Brooklyn/Staten Island PSAL 3A Conference Friday at home.

Eva Paraskevadis led MSIT, which led 17-9 at the half, with 12 points and was followed by Madisyn Chen’s 10 markers.

MSIT’s Thalia Treasure (12 rebounds) and Amina Elmazi (10 rebounds) controlled the boards.
