CHICAGO — Solo Ball, the leading scorer on the UConn men’s basketball team, will be out for the Huskies’ game on Sunday against DePaul at Wintrust Arena.
Ball, who averages 15.4 points per game and is coming off a career-best 26-point effort in Tuesday’s win over Butler, has a left wrist injury, according to a source. It is considered a minor injury; Dan Hurley will have more information on it after the game, which tips off at 4:30 p.m.
UConn doesn’t play again until New Year’s Eve at Xavier.
The Big East has instituted a new policy this season where teams must submit an injury report three hours prior to the tip-off of each game. Players listed on the report are listed as either “Out” or “Questionable.”
