SOUTH RICHMOND HILL, Queens (WABC) — On Friday, King Electronic Hub in Queens caught fire — again.

60 fire and EMS personnel raced to battle the first-floor fire at 119-07 Liberty Ave, a mixed-use building, the FDNY said.

This wasn’t the first time this electronics shop went up in flames. The FDNY reported a lithium-ion battery fire at this location on January 8, 2024.

In security video obtained by the FDNY, a row of stored e-bikes ignites, filling the store with sparks and smoke.

“Cause of Saturday’s 2-alarm fire at an e-bike shop located at 119-07 Liberty Ave. in QNS was a lithium-ion battery,” the FDNY determined the cause of the 2024 fire.

Now, a second fire has resulted in more damage and an injury. On Friday night, one person was transported to a nearby hospital by emergency services.

It’s still undetermined what caused Friday night’s fire. Fire marshals are investigating.
