STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Three men were arrested after police found drugs during a traffic stop in Clifton, authorities allege.

Anner Rivera, 44, of Avon Place in Tompkinsville, Alexander Molina, 49, of Richmond Terrace in St. George, and Daniel Cordero, 38, of Van Duzer Street in Stapleton, were apprehended by officers on Nov. 21 around 10 p.m. on Errington Place near Norwood Avenue, according to the criminal complaint.

Rivera was driving, Molina was sitting in the front passenger seat and Cordero was in the back seat of a brown Porsche Cayenne, police said.

Police said they found a red bag inside the car.

That bag held a large clear twist bag containing heroin powder and two small plastic zipper bags containing cocaine, the complaint alleges.

Police recovered spoons and a scale that were tainted with cocaine and heroin, according to the complaint.

Pipes with cocaine residue were seized from Molina and Cordero, the complaint alleges.

After the car was taken to the 120th Precinct stationhouse in St. George, officers say they found a black bag inside with identification for Cordero. The bag held a metal capsule with heroin residue and three push rods with cocaine residue, the complaint alleges.

All three defendants have been charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal use of drug paraphernalia.

The defendants have pleaded not guilty to all charges and are due back in Criminal Court in St. George on Jan. 22.

Rivera has been released on his own recognizance and Molina and Cordero have non-monetary conditions for their release.

Attorneys for the defendants did not immediately respond to requests for comments.
