It’s turning out to be a complicated holiday season for the Beckham family after Brooklyn allegedly blocked his parents and siblings over a roasted chicken post.
The December 16 Instagram video shows the 26-year-old chef preparing a “beer-brined chicken” and “mashed potatoes.” The entire meal looks delicious, and Brooklyn’s mom, Victoria Beckham, agreed by giving him a “like” on his post. That’s when all hell broke loose, according to The U.S. Sun.
Fans noticed the former Spice Girl’s social media activity and started flooding Brooklyn’s comments with messages about reuniting with his family. “Go and see your parents, you will regret it later in life,” wrote one follower.

Another fan added, “Family is everything no matter what ….❤️❤️❤️.”
The discourse started to get a bit heated when a social media user suggested, “If you’re blocking your parents and family and don’t want anything to do with them, then stop using the Beckham name.”
Well, that reportedly set Brooklyn off, and he went on a blocking spree, per his 20-year-old brother, Cruz. He set the record straight after fans believed that Victoria and David Beckham unfollowed their eldest son.
“Not true,” Cruz wrote in an Instagram Story, per Page Six. “My mum and dad would never unfollow their son. “Let’s get the facts right. They woke up blocked . . . as did I.”
Brooklyn also blocked brother Romeo and sister Harper Beckham. An insider shared with The U.S. Sun that the family is “understandably heartbroken by what’s gone on here.”
The Daily Mail is claiming that Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz, have set up strict boundaries with his family and have requested no contact with them.
“Nicola and Brooklyn haven’t been commenting. They just want peace. It would be best for everyone for them [the Beckhams] to stop contacting, commenting, and briefing because it’s not accomplishing anything,” a source told the media outlet, who alleged that the Instagram “like” by Victoria “drives Brooklyn and Nicola further away.”
David and Victoria seem more open to a reconciliation, though.
“They will always be here for him, and they always want him to know that; they are devastated at this fallout,” a Beckham family friend added. “…It is very clear that this is a sign of his complete estrangement from his family.”
The rift reportedly began around the time of Brooklyn and Nicola’s 2022 wedding when the bride decided to go with Valentino versus her mother-in-law’s creation. Behind the scenes, a lot of the drama actually surrounded Nicola and her mother, Claudia Heffner Peltz, who hired and fired several wedding planners, that resulted in multiple lawsuits.
The legal cases were settled in September 2023.
