WILLIAMSBURG — A FOUR-ALARM fire broke out early Monday at a three-story building at 494 Humboldt St. in Brooklyn, prompting a large FDNY response, officials said.
The blaze was reported around 1:30 a.m. and brought under control by 4:30 a.m. Three firefighters sustained minor injuries, and two civilians were treated at the scene by EMS for non-life-threatening injuries.
“Our units arrived in three minutes and 22 seconds,” said FDNY Chief of Operations Kevin Woods.
“This building is a three-story non-fireproof building. Upon arrival, we had heavy fire on the first, second, and third floors with extension to the cockloft… our engine companies stretched six hose lines,” Chief Woods continued.
