NEW YORK (PIX11) — Santa’s sleigh does not make the rounds to pick up trash on Christmas, and neither does the New York City Sanitation Department.
There will be no garbage, composting or recycling collection on Thursday, Dec. 25, in New York City.
Residents who normally have their trash picked up on Thursdays can put their disposables on the curb on Christmas night. The Sanitation Department will be making collections on Friday.
Officials warn residents that pick-up delays may occur due to the amount of trash needing collection in the city.
